Currently residing in Japan while touring internationally, Bubby's influence extends beyond music to the fashion world, where his unique and iconic style is making a significant impact.
Bubby's musical journey began at age 14, playing bass in his church in Flint, Michigan, where he was born and raised as the son of a pastor. Early on, he discovered a profound passion for music that set him on a path to success. In the fiercely competitive world of A-list musicians, Bubby's positive attitude and relentless drive quickly garnered him recognition and opportunities to work with world-class artists. He has recorded and performed alongside legends such as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Stevie Wonder, Cypress Hill, Lupe Fiasco, Busta Rhymes, Willie Nelson, Quincy Jones, Nipsey Hussle, DMX, DJ Quik, Redman, Method Man, Charlie Wilson, Bootsy Collins, George Clinton, T-Pain, Fat Joe, The Game, Jhené Aiko, Vidya Vox, Exile the Second, The Rampage, Ai, and many more.
A true polymath, Bubby's love for Japanese anime, comic books, video games, and all things nerdy has led him to compose and record for esteemed companies such as MARVEL Entertainment, Funimation/CrunchyRoll, Square Enix, Sega, and Blizzard Entertainment.
Bubby's debut solo album, "1UP! Adventures & Quests Episode III, " released in 2017, chronicles his journey from Flint to Los Angeles, showcasing his distinctive style. His 2019 follow-up album, "Hero Dynasty, " further demonstrated his ability to explore diverse themes and create relatable music. The lead single, "Miss & Love," featuring Jhené Aiko, is a poignant reflection on love, loss, and the human experience, embodying the reflective and kind-hearted nature that Bubby infuses into his work.
