Central Tejo, the power plant built in 1908 to supply electricity to the entire Lisbon region, is an iconic example of industrial architecture heritage home to both temporary exhibitions and permanent programs.
The Monumental Tour offers a guided exploration of its perfectly preserved facilities and machinery, through which its history and the evolution of energy making are explained from the birth of electricity to todays renewables.
